New Stuff and Latest Itinerary

Hello everyone! Today I got my travelling rucksack - it is basically like a suitcase with backpack straps and wheels, and looks ideal, as I'll be travelling fairly light. I also got a travel towel, a cotton bag for sleeping in, a drain plug so we can rinse our clothes in hostels with no sink plugs, and a socket adapter, as you can see:

Not forgetting of course, the pièce de résistance:

Funky new walking shoes! Light, sturdy, waterproof, comfy, and extremely BLUE. Love them.

------------------------------------

I also wanted to tell you all about some changes to our plans while we are out there, which you can see below:

16th-26th October – Malaysia

26th October-16th November – Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam

16th-22nd November – Singapore

22nd-29th November – Indonesia

29th November-2nd December – KL Farewell long weekend and flight home

So as you can see we are now planning to visit a lot more different countries, in fact 6 countries in seven weeks! It's going to be a helluva ride, so keep checking here for updates, which will obviously be much more regular once we have actually gone. Departure date is 15/10/13, so stick it in your calendar if you're intending to keep up with our adventures :)

Until next time...

Welcome & Introductions

Hey everyone, this is the site where my good friend Andy and I will be recording some of the more interesting parts of our journey through Asia. Expect plenty of photos, videos and hopefully some entertaining anecdotes!

We are flying out to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 15th October. After spending a couple of weeks there with Pearl, another good friend of mine, we intend to fly up to Bangkok, Thailand and stay there for around 5 days. We will then cross the border into Cambodia, and visit the 7th wonder of the world, Angkor Wat on the way to the capital, Phnom Penh. Afterwards, we will cross the border into Vietnam and visit Ho Chi Minh City before flying back to Kuala Lumpur.
After a few days rest in KL, Pearl will rejoin us for a short trip across the border into Singapore, before returning to KL for one last weekend. We will be flying home to England on 2nd December, with lots of great experiences and memories I am sure.

At least, that's the plan! Who knows what might happen when we are out there, and plans can easily be changed. So this concludes my first blog post, and I hope people keep checking back and reading once we start posting properly.

Peace!
Alex
